        IN 4 SECTIONS:

       Premier: Open to FIDE 1900/up, USCF 2000/up, and all foreign FIDE rated players. Guaranteed prizes $3000-2000-1000-800-700-600-500-400, clear or tiebreak first bonus $100, top FIDE Under 2300/Unr $1400-700.  FIDE rated,
       Under 2100: Guaranteed prizes $2000-1000-500-300-200, top Under 1900 (no unr) $1200-600.
       Under 1700: Guaranteed prizes $1700-900-500-300-200, top Under 1500 (no unr) $800-400.
       Under 1300: $1000-500-300-200-100, top Under 1100 (no unr) $400-200.
       Unrated prize limits: U1300 $200, U1700 $400, or U2100 $600.

       Mixed doubles bonus prizes: best male/female 2-player "team" combined score among all sections: $1000-500. Team must average under 2200; may play in different sections; register (no extra fee) before both players begin round 2. Only first 7 rounds of Premier count towards mixed doubles.

Top 3 sections entry fee: $158 online at chessaction.com by 10/9, 5-day $165, 4-day $164, 3-day $163 if check mailed by 10/1, all $180 at site until 1 hour before round 1, or online at chessaction.com until 2 hours before round 1. 

Premier Section specials: GMs, IMs, WGMs, foreign FMs free; $150 deducted from prize; no deduction from minimum prize.  Entry fees $60 less to FIDE rated foreign players. Minimum prizes to players who enter online by 9/27 and play all 9 games with no byes: $700 to first 7 foreign GMs, $400 to first 7 foreign IMs/WGMs, $300 to other foreign GMs, foreign WIMs, US GMs.

Under 1300 Section entry fee: all entry fees $60 less than top 3 sections entry fee.

USCF MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED. Special 1 year USCF dues with magazine if paid with entry: Online at chessaction.com, Adult $35, Young Adult $22, Scholastic $15. Mailed or paid at site, Adult $40, Young Adult $25, Scholastic $17.

Re-entry: $80, no re-entry from Premier to Premier.

       5-day schedule: Reg. ends Thu 6 pm, rds Thu 7 pm, Fri 1 pm & 7 pm, Sat 11 am & 5 pm, Sun 11 am & 5 pm, Mon 10 am & 3:30 pm.
       4-day schedule: Reg. ends Fri 6 pm, rds Fri 7 pm. Sat 11 & 5, Sun 11 & 5, Mon 10 & 3:30.
       3-day schedule: Reg. ends Sat 10 am, rds Sat 11, 2 & 5, Sun 11 & 5, Mon 10 & 3:30.
       Half point byes: OK all; limit 3 (limit 2 in last 4 rounds), must commit before rd 4,

Ratings:  October FIDE ratings used in Premier, October official USCF ratings in other sections.  Unofficial uschess.org ratings usually used if otherwise unrated, or to qualify for Premier.

Please note! October is a busier time than our other dates for this location, and it is likely that after the reservation deadine (Sept 19), the rate will be higher than the chess rate, or rooms will sell out completely.  Currently as of Sept 9, the lowest non-chess rate we can find anywhere is $139. 

Double rooms at the chess rate are apparently sold out, but rooms with one king bed are available.  The first 20 king rooms that request it by Sept 18 are entitled to a free rollaway bed. After these rollaways are reserved, there may be a charge of $40 per stay for a rollaway, if they are still available. Rollaways cannot be reserved online- call Cristina at 703-394-2106 and ask for a rollaway.
