12th Annual Southern Class Championships. 5SS, 40/110, SD/30, d10 (2-day option, rds 1-2 G/60, d10), Wyndham Orlando Resort, 8001 International Drive, Orlando FL 32819. Free parking.  Prizes $12,500 based on 185 paid entries (re-entries and Class E Section count half), $10,000 (80% of each prize) minimum guaranteed.

In 7 sections:
       Master Section
(2200/up):  $1000-500-300-200, clear or tiebreak win $100 bonus. FIDE rated (USCF rules used).
       Expert Section
(2000-2199): $1000-500-300-200.
       Class A Section (1800-1999/Unr): $1000-500-300-200.
       Class B Section
(1600-1799/Unr): $1000-500-300-200, unrated limit $650.
       Class C Section (1400-1599/Unr): $
800-400-250-150, unrated limit $500.
       Class D Section (1200-1399/Unr):
$700-400-250-150, unrated limit $350.
      
       Class E Section (Under 1200/Unr):
$400-200-100, unrated limit $200, trophies to first 3, top Under 1000, Under 800, Under 600, Unrated.
      
Mixed doubles bonus prizes: best male/female 2-player "team" combined score among all sections: $400-200. Team average must be under 2200; teammates may play in different sections; teams must register (no extra fee) before both players begin round 2; teammate pairings avoided but possible.
 

       If unrated prizewinner
is limited, balance goes to next player(s) in line.
       Rated players may play up one section. 

Top 6 sections entry fee: $98 online at chessaction.com by 3/26, $105 phoned to 406-896-2038 (entry only, no questions) by 3/24, 3-day $103, 2-day $102 if check mailed by 3/19, $120 (no checks, credit cards OK) at site, or online until 2 hours before first game. Credit card entries not accepted by mail. GMs free; $90 deducted from prize.  

Class E Section entry fee: All $50 less than above.

All sections: Special 1 year USCF dues with paper magazine if paid with entry. online at chesstour.com, Adult $30, Young Adult $20, Scholastic $15.  Mailed, phoned or paid at site, Adult $40, Young Adult $30, Scholastic $20. Re-entry $60; not available in Master Section.

EARLY FINISH TIMES (play each day will end about 2 hours earlier than last year Saturday & Sunday, 1 hour earlier Friday!)
3-day schedule:
Reg ends Fri 6 pm, rounds Fri 7 pm, Sat 11 am & 5 pm, Sun 10 am & 3:30 pm.
2-day schedule:
Reg ends Sat 10 am, rounds Sat 11 am, 2 pm & 5 pm, Sun 10 am & 3:30 pm.
