In 2 sections. Both are FIDE rated, GM and IM norms possible in Premier.
Premier uses June FIDE ratings for pairings & prizes, Expert Section uses July USCF ratings.
 


Premier Section: Open to FIDE 2000/over, USCF 2100/over or invitees. GM & IM norms possible. Prizes $6000-4000-2000-1000-800-600-500-400, clear or tiebreak bonus $100, top FIDE under 2300 or unrated $2000-1000. 


Expert Section: Open to players who are both Under 2200 USCF and Under 2100 FIDE. Prizes $4000-2000-1000-700-500-400-300-300. top USCF Under 2000 or unrated $1600-800.


Premier minimum prize guarantees: $600 to foreign GMs, $300 to foreign IMs/WGMs (must complete all 9 games with no byes; limited to first 8 foreign GMs & first 8 foreign IMs/WGMs to enter by 5/24 at chessaction.com). Minimum prize $300 to other GMs (including US) who enter at chessaction.com by 5/24 and complete all 9 games with no byes. 


Premier Section entry fee: 
    GMs, IMs, WGMs:
 
$50 online at chessaction.com by 5/24, $75 online at chessaction.com by 6/24, $100 at site; $100 deducted from prize (no deduction from minimum prize).
    Foreign FIDE rated players: $100 online at chessaction.com by 5/24, $125 by 6/24, $150 at site.     

    US FIDE Masters:
 
$200 online by 5/24, $225 online by 6/24, $250 at site. 
    US players USCF or FIDE rated 2100/up:
 
$300 online by 5/24, $325 online by 6/24, $350 at site. 
    US players USCF or FIDE rated 2000-2099:
 
$400 online by 5/24, $425 online by 6/24, $450 at site. 
   

Experts Section entry fee: $250 online by 5/24, $275 online by 6/24, $300 at site. 


All: Mailed entry all $10 more; do not mail entry after 6/14. No checks at site, credit cards OK. 

Special 1 year USCF dues with magazine if paid with entry: Online at chessaction.com, Adult $35, Young Adult $22, Scholastic $15. Mailed or paid at site, Adult $40, Young Adult $25, Scholastic $17.

For all tournaments, adjusted FIDE or foreign ratings, if higher than USCF, may be used. Players must disclose FIDE or foreign ratings when entering, or may later be expelled. Other over the board ratings such as club, league, scholastic, state or province, etc, adjusted if appropriate, may be used at our discretion if above USCF.  No rating below the latest official USCF rating, on the list corresponding to the ending date of the tournament, will be used. For 9 round events offering title norm possibilities, FIDE ratings are used. Click here for further details.

Ratings: June FIDE used in Premier, USCF July official in Expert. Unofficial uschess.org ratings usually used if otherwise unrated. Players must reveal foreign, FIDE and other over the board ratings, and these ratings, adjusted if necessary, may be used, if higher than USCF, in the Expert Section. Schedule: NOTE CORRECTION- SUNDAY & MONDAY ROUNDS ARE 10 AM AND 4 PM, NOT 11 AM & 5 PM. Late reg. ends Thu 6 pm, rds. Thu 7 pm, Fri 1 pm & 7 pm, Sat 11 am & 5 pm, Sun & Mon 10 am & 4 pm. Two half point byes available; must commit before rd. 3; FIDE norm in Premier not possible if taking bye.
