Major Section: Open to 1800/above. Prizes $1000-500-300, top Under 2210 $500-250.
 
Under 2010 Section: Prizes $800-500-300, top Under 1810 (no unr) $400-200. 

Under 1610 Section: $700-400-200, top Under 1410 (no unr) $300-150.

Under 1210 Section: $400-200-100, plaques to 1st, top U1000, U800, U600, Unrated.


Prize limits for unrated: Under 1610 $200, Under 1210 $100.

 Mixed doubles bonus prizes: best male/female 2-player "team" combined score among all sections: $200-100. Must average under 2200; may play in different sections; register (no extra fee) by 2 pm 7/21.  

Top 3 sections entry fee: $93 online at chessaction.com by 7/18, 3-day $98, 2-day $97 mailed by 7/11, $110 at site or online until 2 hours before round 1.  

Under 1210 Section entry fee: All $30 less than top 3 sections entry fee.
GMs, IMs & WGMs free, $80 deducted from prize.
No checks at site, credit cards OK.

Online entry fee $5 less to NYSCA members (may join with entry; NYSCA dues $12/year with 2 issues Empire Chess, $20/year with 4 issues, may be paid with entry fee).

Special 1 year USCF dues with magazine if paid with entry- online at chessaction.com, Adult $35, Young Adult $22, Scholastic $15. Mailed, phoned or paid at site, Adult $40, Young Adult $25, Scholastic $17.  USCF membership required.

Re-entry $40, not available to go from Major to Major. 

3-day schedule: Reg ends Fri 6 pm, rds. Fri 7, Sat 11 & 5, Sun 10 & 3:15. 
2-day schedule: Reg ends Sat 10 am, rds Sat 11, 2 & 5, Sun 10 & 3:15.
Half point byes OK all, must commit before rd 2; limit 2 byes.

For all tournaments, adjusted FIDE or foreign ratings, if higher than USCF, may be used. Players must disclose FIDE or foreign ratings when entering, or may later be expelled. Other over the board ratings such as club, league, scholastic, state or province, etc, adjusted if appropriate, may be used at our discretion if above USCF.  No rating below the latest official USCF rating, on the list corresponding to the ending date of the tournament, will be used. Ratings: July official USCF ratings used. Unofficial uschess.org ratings usually used if otherwise unrated. Players must reveal foreign, FIDE and other over the board ratings, and these ratings, adjusted if necessary, may be used, if higher than USCF. See also above.
