$15,000 based on 200 paid entries (re-entries & U1300 Section count 50%, U1000 Section 25%), minimum $10,000 (2/3 each prize) guaranteed.

Open Section: $1800-900-500-300, clear or tiebreak win $100 bonus, top U2300/Unr $600-300. FIDE rated, but USCF rules used, not FIDE laws.
Under 2200 Section:
$1200-600-300-200, top U2000/unr $500-250.
Under 1900 Section:
$1200-600-300-200, top U1700 (no unrated) $500-250.
Under 1600 Section:
$1000-500-300-200, top U1400 (no unrated) $400-200.
Under 1300 Section:
$500-300-200-100, plaques to 1st, top Under 1100, Under 900, Under 700, Unrated.

MIXED DOUBLES BONUS PRIZES: best male/female 2-player "team" combined score among all sections: $400-200-100. Team average must be under 2200; teammates may play in different sections; teams must register (no extra fee) before both players begin round 2; teammate pairings avoided but possible.

Unrated may enter any section, with prize limit U1900 $600, U1600 $400, U1300 $200; balance goes to next player(s) in line.

 

Top 4 sections entry fee: $105 online at chessaction.com by 10/9, $110 phoned by 10/9 (406-896-2038, entry only, no questions), 3-day $108, 2-day $107 mailed by 10/2, all $120 (no checks, credit cards OK) at site, or online until 2 hours before round 1. 

 

GMs, IMs & WGMs: FREE ENTRY, $90 deducted from prize.

 

Under 1300 Section entry fee: $55 online at chessaction.com by 10/9, $60 phoned by 10/9 (406-896-2038, entry only, no questions), 3-day $58, 2-day $57 mailed by 10/2, all $70 (no checks, credit cards OK) at site, or online until 2 hours before round 1. 

 

All: SCCF membership ($18, juniors $13 with magazine, $3 without) required for rated Southern CA residents.  Re-entry $60; not available in Open Section.  Unofficial uschess.org ratings usually used if otherwise unrated.  Chess Magnet School Junior Grand Prix Points available. 

 

Special 1 year USCF dues with paper magazine if paid with entry. Online at chesstour.com, Adult $30, Young Adult $20, Scholastic $15.  Mailed, phoned, or paid at site, Adult $40, Young Adult $30, Scholastic $20.  USCF membership required.

 

3-day schedule: Reg Fri to 6 pm, rounds Fri 7 pm, Sat 12 & 6, Sun 11 & 4:30.

2-day schedule: Reg. Sat to 9 am, rounds Sat 10, 2 & 6, Sun 11 & 4:30.

All: Half point byes OK all rounds, limit 2, Open must commit before rd 2, other sections before rd 3.
