At Sheraton Four Points LAX, 9750 Airport Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90045. Special parking $5/day.
Prizes
$15,000 based on 200 paid entries (re-entries & U1300 Section count 50%, U1000 Section 25%), minimum $10,000 (2/3 each prize) guaranteed.

Open Section: $2000-1000-500-300, clear or tiebreak win $100 bonus, top U2300/Unr (not a section) $500-250. FIDE rated.
Under 2200 Section:
$1200-600-400-200, top U2000 (no unrated) $500-250.
Under 1900 Section:
$1200-600-400-200, top U1700 (no unrated) $500-250.
Under 1600 Section:
$1000-500-300-200, top U1400 (no unrated) $400-200.
Under 1300 Section:
$500-300-200-150, top U1100 (no unrated) $200-100.
Under 1000 Section:
Trophies to top 5, 1st Under 800, Under 600, Under 400, Unrated.

Unrated may enter any section, with prize limit U1900 $600, U1600 $400, U1300 $200; balance goes to next player(s) in line.

 

Top 4 sections entry fee: 3-day $108, 2-day $107 if check mailed by 9/26, all $105 online at chesstour.com by 10/1, $110 phoned by 10/1 (406-896-2038, entry only, no questions), $120 (no checks, credit cards OK) at site.  GMs, IMs & WGMs free; $90 deducted from prize.

 

Under 1300 Section entry fee: 3-day $58, 2-day $57 if check mailed by 9/26, all $55 online at chesstour.com by 10/1, $60 phoned by 10/1 (406-896-2038, entry only, no questions), $70 (no checks, credit cards OK) at site.

 

Under 1000 Section entry fee: $25 mailed by 9/26 or online at chesstour.com by 10/1, $30 at site.

Online late entry available until 2 hours before your first game; same fee as late entry at site.


All: SCCF membership ($18, juniors $10) required for rated Southern CA residents.  Re-entry $60; not available in Open Section.  Unofficial uschess.org ratings usually used if otherwise unrated. 

 

Special 1 year USCF dues with paper magazine if paid with entry. Online at chesstour.com, Adult $30, Young Adult $20, Scholastic $15.  Mailed, phoned, or paid at site, Adult $40, Young Adult $30, Scholastic $20.  USCF membership required.

 

3-day schedule: Reg Fri to 6 pm, rounds Fri 7 pm, Sat 11 & 6, Sun 10 & 4:15.

2-day schedule: Reg. Sat to 10 am, rounds Sat 11, 2:30 & 6, Sun 10 & 4:15.

All: Half point byes OK all rounds, limit 2, Open must commit before rd 2, other sections before rd 3.
