    Open Section: Open to players rated 2200/over by USCF or FIDE or who pay $100 extra. Prizes $10000-5000-2500-1300-1000-800-600-500-400-400, clear or tiebreak winner bonus $300, top FIDE Under 2400/Unr $2000-1000. FIDE rated, GM and IM norms possible. 

    Under 2300 Section: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-300-300-300. 

    Under 2100 Section: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-300-300-300. 

    Under 1900 Section: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-300-300-300. 

    Under 1700 Section: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-300-300-300. 

    Under 1500 Section: $4000-2000-1000-700-500-400-300-300-300-300.

Unrated allowed only in Open, Under 2300, Under 2100, or Under 1000 sections. Unrated may not win over $1000 in Under 2100 Section or $200 in Under 1000 Section.
 

Prize limits: 1) If any post-event rating posted 5/22/17-5/22/18 was more than 30 points over section maximum, prize limit $1500. 2) Players with under 26 lifetime games rated as of May 2018 official list cannot win over $500 in U1000, $1000 in U1300, $1500 U1500, $2000 U1700, or $2500 U1900. 3) Balance of any limited prize goes to next player(s) in line. 


Mixed Doubles Bonus Prizes: best male/female combined 2-player team score: $2000-1000-500-400-300. For the Open Section, only the first 7 rounds will be counted. Must average under 2200; may play in different sections; register (no extra fee) before both players begin round 2. Teams including an unrated limited to $500.


Open through Under 1300 Sections entry fee: $207 online at chessaction.com by 3/20, $227 online by 5/23, 5-day $215, 4-day $214, 3-day $213, 2-day $212 mailed by 3/20, all $20 more mailed by 5/12, all $250 online until 2 hours before round 1 or at site until 1 hour before round 1. No checks at site, credit cards OK.  Do not mail entry after 5/12.


Open entry fee for titled players: GMs free; $200 deducted from prize. IMs/WGMs $100; another $100 deducted from prize.

Entry fee $100 less to seniors age 65/over, except in U1000 Section.

Under 1000 Section entry fee: $67 online at chessaction.com by 5/23, 4-day $74, 3-day $73, 2-day $72 mailed by 5/12, all $90 online until 2 hours before round 1 or at site until 1 hour before.

Byes:
 OK all, limit 4 (limit 2 in last 4 rds), Open must commit before rd. 2, others before rd. 4.

For all tournaments, adjusted FIDE or foreign ratings, if higher than USCF, may be used for foreign or recently foreign players. Players must disclose FIDE or foreign ratings when entering, or may later be expelled. Other ratings such as club, league, scholastic, state or province, etc, adjusted if appropriate, may be used at our discretion if above USCF.  No rating below the latest official USCF rating, on the list corresponding to the ending date of the tournament, will be used. For 9 round events offering title norm possibilities, FIDE ratings are used. Click here for further details.
