2-day, rds 1-4 G/45), Furama Hotel LAX, 8601 Lincoln Blvd, Los Angeles. Free

$30,000 prize fund based on 350 entries; minimum 60% of each prize guaranteed.  

Master Section (over 2199): $3000-1500-700-500-300, U2300 1600-800. FIDE rated. 

Expert Section (2000-2199): $2000-1000-500-300-200. 

Class A Section (1800-1999): $2000-1000-500-300-200. 

Class B Section (1600-1799): $2000-1000-500-300-200.

Class C Section (1400-1599): $2000-1000-500-300-200. 

Class D Section (1200-1399): $1700-900-500-300-200. 

Class E Section (Under 1200): $1000-500-250-150-100. Unrated must play in A, B
or C sections with maximum prize A $700, B $500, C $300.

Entry fee: 4-day $119, 3-day $118, 2-day $117 mailed by 1/10, all $120 phoned

$140 (no checks, credit cards OK) at tmt. $50 less to unrated. $20 less to rated

4-day schedule: Reg Fri to 7 pm, rds 8, 12-7, 12-7, 10-4:30.  
3-day schedule:  Reg. Sat to 11 am, rds 12-3-7, 12-7, 10-4:30.  
2-day schedule:  Reg Sun to 9 am, rds 10-12-2-4-7, 10-4:30.  
All schedules: Bye: all, limit 2, rd 5-7 byes must commit before rd 4.
