14th annual Vermont Resort Open.  5-SS, 40/2, SD/1 (2-day option, rds 1-2 G/75), Stratton Mountain Inn, Middle Ridge Rd (take Stratton Mtn Rd from Bondville), Stratton Mountain VT 05155.  Bondville is 13 mi SE of Manchester, VT on Rt 30; under 2 hours  from Albany NY or Springfield MA.  Resort with pool, tennis, golf, racquetball, health club, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing, Alpine Village with over 20 shops, galleries & restaurants. 

$6,000 GUARANTEED PRIZE FUND.  In 5 sections: 

Open Section: $800-400-200-100, top U2200/Unr $400-200. 

Under 2000 Section:  $500-250-150-100.  

Under 1800 Section:  $500-250-150-100.  

Under 1600 Section: $500-250-150-100. 

Under 1400 Section: $400-200-100-50, top U1200 $150. 

Unrated may not win over $300 in U2000, $200 in U1800, $150 in U1600, or $100 in U1400.  Balance, if any, goes to next player(s) in line.

Entry fee: 3-day $68, 2-day $67 mailed by 7/21, all $66 online at chesstour.com by 8/6, $80 at site.  No phone entries. No checks at site, credit cards OK. All EF $40 less to unrated, $20 less to rated juniors under 18.  Re-entry $40, not available in Open Section. GMs free; $60 deducted from prize. 

3-day schedule: Reg. ends Fri 7 pm, rds. Fri 7:30 pm, Sat 11 am & 6 pm, Sun 9 am & 3:15 pm.  

2-day schedule:  Reg. ends Sat 10 am, rds. Sat 11 am, 2:30 pm & 6 pm, Sun 9 am & 3:15 pm. 

Both sections merge after round 2 and compete for same prizes.

Half point byes: OK all rounds, limit 2, rounds 3-5 must commit before rd 2.
