    Senior Championship, open to those born before 3/2/76. $$ 800-400-200, Top Under 2300 $250, Under 1910 $150, Under 1610/Unr. $100). Top-scoring NY State resident qualifies to represent NY State at 2026 Irwin National Tournament of State Senior Champions in Grand Rapids, MI. NY State Title and $100 bonus to top-scoring NY State resident (both decided on tiebreak if tied).

        Young Adult/Middle Age Section, open to all born before 3/2/08 and after 3/1/76. $$ 800-400-200, Top Under 2200 $250, Under 1900 $150, Under 1600/Unr. $100.


     Mixed Doubles Bonus Team Prizes: Best male+female 2-player combined team score among both sections: $200-100. Team must average Under 2200; may play in different sections; register (no extra fee) by 2 pm Sat.

Online Entry Fee $7 less to NYSCA members (NYSCA, the New York State Chess Association, is an optional membership, NOT the same as USCF). NYSCA dues: $20/year with 4 issues of Empire Chess or $12 for 2 issues; may join with online entry.

USCF Membership Required. Special 1 year US Chess dues
with magazine if paid with entry online at chessaction.com. : Adults $54, USCF Senior dues (age 65/up) $48, Young Adult $33, Youth $24.  GMs free, $80 deducted from prize.

For all tournaments, adjusted FIDE or foreign ratings, if higher than US Chess, may be used. Players must disclose FIDE or foreign ratings when entering, or may later be expelled. Other over the board ratings such as club, league, scholastic, state or province, etc, adjusted if appropriate, may be used at our discretion if above US Chess.  No rating below the latest official US Chess rating, on the list corresponding to the ending date of the tournament, will be used. For 9 round events offering title norm possibilities, FIDE ratings are used. Click here for further details.

Ratings: March official US Chess ratings used. USCF Online Regular or unofficial uschess.org ratings used if otherwise unrated. Players must reveal foreign, FIDE and other over the board ratings, and these ratings, adjusted if necessary, may be used if higher than US Chess. See also above. 

Cannot play below USCF Online Regular Rating – 100 points.

Reg. ends 9 am Sat. Rounds begin Sat. 10, 2, 6; Sun. 10 & 2.

Half point byes OK all rounds, must commit before rd. 2; limit 2 byes.
