3-Round Swiss-System, G/60; d10, 8 player sections, (the bottom section may have 8 to 15 players). Washington Dulles Marriott Hotel, 45020 Aviation Dr, Dulles, VA 20166.  Free parking, free shuttle to airport and Metro subway (also see TLA for George Washington Open, Feb. 27-Mar. 1).

Free entry to the 2026 World Open to Clear First in each 8-player section (ties for 1st broken by tiebreak, announced at site, if necessary; prize does not include any additional entry fee surcharges, based on players’ ratings, for players who elect to play up in World Open, Open Section but who are eligible for a lower section).

Entry Fee: $50 online at chessaction.com by 2/27, $60 after or paid at site, until 10 am Saturday.

March Official Ratings used; unofficial or Online Regular USCF ratings usually used if otherwise unrated. Cannot play below USCF Online Regular rating minus 100 points.

Registration ends 10 am Sat. Rounds: 11-2-5 pm. Half point bye OK in any round, must commit before round 2. 

Special 1-year USCF dues with magazine if paid with online entry: Adult $54, Senior (age 65+) $48, Young Adult $33, Youth $24. USCF Membership Required.

$15 service charge for refunds.  Entries posted at chessaction.com (click "entry list" after entering). Bring set, board & clock if possible - none supplied.
