JOIN THE US CHESS FEDERATION
USCF is a nonprofit, democratic organization, recognized as the governing
body of chess in the U.S. by FIDE, the International Chess Federation.
Membership includes Chess Life monthly magazine and the right to play in USCF-rated
tournaments.
A special rate of $32 for new Adult (age 25-64) or Senior (age 65/up) members is currently offered if paid online, subsidized by Continental Chess Association. This rate is available to US residents only. If purchased directly from USCF, the cost of the adult membership is $41 online at www.uschess.org and $49 by mail or phone, and the cost of a senior membership is $36.

If you are age 24 or below, you qualify for USCF's Young Adult Membership. The benefits are the same as for Adult or Senior members, and Continental Chess offers a 1 year Young Adult membership for $23. If purchased directly from USCF, the cost is $25. US, Canada and Mexico residents only.

Inexperienced youngsters may prefer USCF's bimonthly Chess Life for Kids magazine, offered to age 12 or below. USCF Scholastic Membership includes this magazine as well as the right to play in USCF-rated tournaments. The National Elementary School Championship is the largest tournament in the country! Continental Chess offers a 1 year Scholastic membership for $15. If purchased directly from USCF, the cost is $17. US, Canada and Mexico residents only.
