Nov 4-6 or 5-6, Eastern Team Championship. 5SS, 40/2, SD/1, d/5 (2-day option, rds 1-2 G/75, d/5).Sheraton Hotel (formerly Holiday Inn), 700 Main St, Stamford CT 06901. Free parking, free shuttle from train station, trains from NYC, Westchester and Connecticut run frequently. 5 seconds delay used for digital clocks, but no 5 minute time deduction.
Open to teams of 4 plus one optional alternate; match point scoring. Average rating of 4 highest rated players must be under 2000, counting 4th highest rating as at least 3th highest rating minus 500. Alternate must be lowest rated on team, but plays the board of the player who is replaced. Except for the alternate, players must play in rating order, so are always on the same board. Team has choice of 3-day or 2-day schedule; all on team must play same schedule.
NOVEMBER OFFICIAL USCF RATINGS USED. Unofficial uschess.org ratings usually used if otherwise unrated.
Entry fee: $300 per team mailed by 10/27 or online by 11/1, $340 at site. Individuals seeking teams: $80 at site, or post on CCA website at ccaforum.com.
