19th annual Eastern Class Championships. 5SS, 40/2, SD/1 (2-day option, rds 1-2 G/75). Under 900 Section is 6 rounds playing March 6-7 only, G/75.  Host Hotel at Cedar Lake, 366 Main St, Sturbridge MA 01566 (I-84 Exit 3, near I-90). Free parking.


$$ 20,000 prizes based on 250 paid entries (re-entries count half, U900 one-third), minimum $12,000 (60% of each prize) guaranteed. In 8 sections:


Master (2200/up): $2000-1000-500-300, clear winner or 1st on tiebreak $100 bonus, top U2300 $800-400. FIDE.
Expert (2000-2199): $1400-700-400-300.  
Class A (1800-1999): $1400-700-400-300.
Class B (1600-1799): $1400-700-400-300.
Class C (1400-1599): $1200-600-300-300.  Class C 4th place projection has been raised from $200 to $300.
Class D (1200-1399): $1200-600-300-200.
Class E (Under 1200): $800-400-200-100.
Under 900: $200-100-60-40.
Rated players may play up one section.
Unrated may enter U900 through A, with prize limits: U900 $100, E $200, D $300, C $400, B $500, A $600. Balance goes to next player(s) in line.


Entry fee: 3-day $108, 2-day $107 mailed by 2/25, all $109 online at chesstour.com by 3/2, $110 phoned to 406-896-2038 by 3/2 (entry only, no questions), $120 at site.  GMs free, $90 deducted from prize.

Class E entry fee: All $20 less. 
Under 900 entry fee: all $70 less.

No checks at site, credit cards OK.

All: Unofficial uschess.org ratings based on 4 or more games usually used if otherwise unrated. 

Special 1 year USCF dues with Chess Life if paid with entry: Online at chesstour.com, Adult $30, Young Adult $20. Mailed, phoned or paid at site, Adult $40, Young Adult $30.  Re-entry $60; not available in Open Section.  MACA memb. ($12, under 18 $6) required for MA residents; WMCA accepted for western MA residents.  

3-day schedule: Reg ends Fri 6 pm, rounds Fri 7 pm, Sat 11 am & 6 pm, Sun 9 am & 3:15 pm.
2-day schedule: Reg ends Sat 10 am, rounds Sat 11 am, 2:30 pm & 6 pm, Sun 9 am & 3:15 pm.
Under 900 schedule: Reg. ends Sat. 10 am, rounds Sat 11 am, 2:30 pm & 6 pm, Sun 9 am, 12:30 pm & 3:15 pm.
Byes: OK all, limit 2 byes; Master Section must commit before round 2, others before round 3.
