    Open Section: Open to players who are rated 2200/over by USCF or FIDE, are foreign FIDE rated, or pay $100 extra.
 
Prizes 
$10000-5000-2500-1300-1000-800-600-500-400-400, clear or tiebreak winner bonus $300, top FIDE Under 2400/Unr $2000-1000.

FIDE rated, GM and IM norms possible. FIDE now requires at least one Swiss System (at least 40 players) norm to obtain a title.
 

    Under 2300 Section: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-300-300-300.  FIDE Rated

    Under 2100 Section: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-300-300-300.  Unrated limit $1200.  FIDE Rated

    Under 1900 Section: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-300-300-300. 

    Under 1700 Section: $5000-2500-1200-800-600-500-400-300-300-300. 

    Under 1500 Section: $4000-2000-1000-700-500-400-300-300-300-300. 

    Under 1300 Section: $3000-1500-1000-700-500-400-300-300-300-300. 

    Under 1000 Section: $1500-800-600-400-300-200-200-100-100-100.  Unrated limit $200.
 

Unrated allowed in all sections.
 

Prize limits: 1) If any post-event Regular OTB or Regular Online rating posted 5/23/22-5/23/23 or current Regular Online rating was more than 40 points over section maximum, prize limit $800.  2.) Players with under 26 lifetime games rated as of May 2023 official list cannot win over $500 in U1000, $1000 U1300, $1500 U1500, $2000 U 1700, or $2500 U1900. 4) Unrated limits: U1000 $200, U1300 $400, U1500 $600, U1700 $800, U1900 $1000, U2100 $1200. 4.) Balance of any limited prize goes to next Player(s) in line. 


Mixed Doubles Bonus Prizes: best male/female combined 2-player team score: $2000-1000-500-400-300. For the Open Section, only the first 7 rounds will be counted towards mixed doubles. Team must average under 2200; may play in different sections; register (no extra fee) before both players begin round 2;  teams including an unrated limited to $500.

Open through Under 1300 Sections entry fee: $207 online at chessaction.com by 3/21, $227 online by 5/24, all $250 online or at site until 1 hour before round 1. 

Open entry fee for titled players: GMs and foreign IMs/WGMs free; $200 deducted from prize. US IMs/WGMs $100; also $100 deducted from prize.  Deductions cannot lower prize to below minimum. Players with federation "FID" are not foreign players.

 

Open minimum prize guarantee if entering online by 5/4 and playing all 9 games (no byes):  foreign GM $800, foreign IM/WGM $400, foreign FM $200.

 

Entry fee $100 less to seniors age 65/over, except in U1000 Section.

Under 1000 Section entry fee:    $97 online at chessaction.com by 5/24, $120 online or at site until 9 am 5/28.

4-day and 3-day schedules merge & compete for same prizes. 

Byes:
 OK all, limit 3 (limit 2 in last 4 rds), must commit before rd 3.

For all tournaments, adjusted FIDE or foreign ratings, if higher than USCF, may be used. Players must disclose FIDE or foreign ratings when entering, or may later be expelled. Other over the board ratings such as club, league, scholastic, state or province, etc, adjusted if appropriate, may also be used at our discretion if above USCF and must be disclosed.  No rating below the latest official USCF rating, on the list corresponding to the ending date of the tournament, will be used. For 9 round events offering title norm possibilities, FIDE ratings are used. Click here for further details.

In 2 sections with $2500 guaranteed prizes. Open Section: $400-250-150, 2100-2299 $200-100, U2100/Unr $200-100. Under 1900/Unr Section: $300-150-80, U1700/Unr $180-90, U1500 $130-70, U1300 $100. Online entry fee: $40 by 6 pm 5/28, $55 by 9 pm 5/28. Entry fee at site: $50 by 6 pm 5/28, $70 by 9 pm 5/28, no checks.  GMs free; $40 from prize.
